Stamping and redeeming
Everything at the counter happens through the Scanner. It is designed to be used one-handed, at speed, by someone who is also making a drink.
Add a stamp
- Open Scanner in the dashboard, or the Cafeity Scanner app.
- Point the camera at the customer’s card.
- Their name and current progress appear.
- Choose Add stamp.
If the same card is scanned twice within a few seconds, the second scan is ignored. That is deliberate — it stops a double-tap becoming a double stamp.
When a reward unlocks
When a customer reaches the target, a reward unlocks and their card keeps showing a full card — 10 of 10 — until a member of staff actually redeems it. The balance resets at redemption, not at the moment it fills, so nobody loses a reward by buying another coffee first.
Redeem a reward
- Scan the customer’s card as usual.
- If they have an unlocked reward, a Redeem option appears.
- Hand over the reward, then choose Redeem.
Redeem after you have handed the item over, not before. Redemption is recorded permanently and cannot be undone from the counter.
