How customers join

Joining takes a customer about fifteen seconds at the counter, and there is nothing to install. Keeping it that short is most of why people actually join.

The flow

  1. The customer scans your QR code with their phone camera.
  2. A page opens with your café’s name and your reward.
  3. They enter their name, and whatever else you have asked for.
  4. Their card appears, with its own link they can keep.

What to ask for

You choose which details are required. Every extra field costs you sign-ups, so ask for the minimum that is useful to you. Name alone is enough to run a stamp card.

  • Name — worth asking for, so staff can greet people.
  • Phone — useful if you ever want to reach customers, but it noticeably reduces sign-ups.
  • Email — the same trade-off, and worth it only if you actually intend to email them.
  • Birthday — only ask if you plan to do something with it.

Getting back to their card

Each card has its own link. Customers can bookmark it or add it to their home screen, and staff can always find someone by name or member number from the Customers page if they lose it.

Common questions

What if a customer joins twice?
They will have two cards with separate progress. Search their name on the Customers page — if you find duplicates, use the one with more stamps and tell them to keep that link.
