Multi-location and franchise loyalty

How franchise settlement works
Each branch has two numbers: rewards earned here, and rewards given here. A branch that hands over more than it generates is carrying cost for the group; a branch that generates more than it hands over is subsidising the others. The settlement column is simply the difference, per branch, over any date range you choose.
Franchised versus corporate sites
Mark a branch as franchised and record who operates it. The brand keeps a single loyalty program and one customer database, while each operator gets their own staff, scanner and numbers.
Choosing the right structure
Most groups under five sites want one program across all of them — the shared card is the point. Larger groups sometimes restrict a program to specific branches, which is supported. What we would not recommend is a separate program per site: it fragments your customer data and confuses your regulars.
