Cafeity vs Stamp Me
Stamp Me is a long-standing digital stamp card product with a wider surface than most: SMS marketing, tap-to-stamp hardware and several ways to validate a stamp. It costs meaningfully more, and its published plans are single-location. Which of those matters depends entirely on whether you want a marketing platform or a loyalty card. Figures below were read from stampme.com in August 2026 — check them before acting on them.
Price at a single site
Stamp Me publishes Lite at $49 a month and Pro at $79. Cafeity is $25 for one café.
More than one site
Stamp Me's published plans each cover a single location. Cafeity prices per location, so a second is $40 in total.
Both use wallet passes
Stamp Me offers its own app and Apple or Google Wallet. Cafeity is wallet-only. Neither forces a download.
Where Stamp Me is ahead
Built-in SMS, tap-to-stamp hardware, a 30-day trial with no payment, and several stamping methods we do not offer.
The price difference, stated plainly
At the time of writing Stamp Me lists three plans: Lite at $49 a month, Pro at $79, and Elite at $199. Cafeity charges $25 for a single café. That gap is real, and it buys something — SMS, hardware, account management on the top plan — so the question is not which is cheaper but whether you will use what the difference pays for. A café that wants a stamp card and nothing else is paying roughly twice for capability it will not touch. A café that intends to run SMS campaigns is comparing our price against the price of buying SMS separately, which changes the arithmetic considerably.
Multi-site is the sharpest difference
Every Stamp Me plan on their pricing page covers a single location, and multi-site arrangements are not published — you would be asking them. Cafeity prices per location from the start, and the rate falls as sites are added: two cafés is $40 a month, three is $55, ten is $90. If you run one shop and intend to keep running one shop, this section does not matter to you. If you are opening a second, it is the whole comparison, and it is worth getting a written number from them before committing either way.
How the card reaches the customer
It would be convenient to say Stamp Me requires an app and we do not, and it is not true. Their own documentation describes customers displaying a member code either in the Stamp Me app or in Google and Apple Wallet. Both products can put a card on a phone without a download. The difference is narrower: we only do wallet passes, which means one route, no app to maintain and no second thing to explain at the counter. They support both, which is more flexible and more to keep track of.
Stamping: one way versus several
Stamp Me offers a merchant app that scans, a Stamp Pod the customer taps their phone against, NFC tags, one-time QR and alphanumeric codes, and manual application from a portal. Cafeity has one method: a staff member scans the customer's code. Fewer options is a deliberate position rather than a missing feature — every additional path to issuing a stamp is another path to issuing one that should not exist — but if you specifically want tap-to-collect hardware on your counter, they have it and we do not.
Where Stamp Me is the better choice
If SMS is central to how you market, it is built into their Pro plan and is not something we do at all. If you want customers to collect by tapping a pod rather than being scanned, that is theirs. Their trial is 30 days with no payment taken, against our 14 days that asks for card details up front — nothing is charged in that time, but being asked is not the same as not being asked. And if you want a dedicated account manager, that is what their top plan sells.
Checking this page is still true
Stamp Me was advertising a promotional discount when these figures were read, which means the price you see may be lower than the list price quoted here. Prices move, plans get renamed, and a comparison page that is not re-checked becomes a misleading page that still ranks. Open their pricing page and read the numbers yourself before making a decision on the strength of ours.
Common questions
- Is Cafeity cheaper than Stamp Me?
- On published list prices, yes — $25 a month for one café against Lite at $49. Whether it is better value depends on whether you would use the SMS, hardware and support that the difference is paying for.
- Does Stamp Me require customers to download an app?
- No. Their documentation describes customers showing a member code from either the Stamp Me app or Apple and Google Wallet, so a download is optional there. Cafeity issues wallet passes only.
- What about running several locations?
- Stamp Me's published plans each cover one location and multi-site pricing is not listed, so you would need a quote. Cafeity charges per location on a rate that falls as you add sites — three cafés is $55 a month.
- Can I move my customers across?
- If you can export your customer list and balances, we can import them. The passes themselves cannot transfer between issuers, so customers re-add their card once — usually a code on the counter for a fortnight.
