Cinnamon roll
A cinnamon roll is a spiral of sweet dough filled with cinnamon and sugar, often glazed or iced.

What it means for a café
In the Nordic countries it comes with its own café ritual and vocabulary. It travels well onto chain menus because it reheats without suffering, and a pastry that survives being warmed is worth more to a café than one that must be sold fresh.
This page describes cinnamon roll in general. It is not a description of any particular chain’s recipe, and the photograph is not of any named company’s product.
