Coffee
Cortado
A cortado is espresso cut with a roughly equal volume of warm milk, served short in a small glass.

What it means for a café
Sits between a macchiato and a flat white, and its appeal is that the milk softens the espresso without burying it. It is a useful drink for a café to carry because it satisfies regulars who find a flat white too long and an espresso too sharp.
This page describes cortado in general. It is not a description of any particular chain’s recipe, and the photograph is not of any named company’s product.
